What are some advice for an Indian teen?
- 1. Never listen to the advice given by teens, especially in Quora. They don't know shit about life yet they pretend to be some kind of philosopher.
- Don't chase these degrees if you aren't interested in those areas. Try to know what your interests are before you enroll yourself in some engineering colleges. Don't try too hard to fit in everywhere. You are not supposed to fit in everywhere, you will find your place where you actually belong.
- If you got IIT, NIT, AIIMS then good, if you didn't get these then know that it's not the end of the world, you still can do better than most of these prestigious college graduates if you try hard enough.
- Don't chase these online social trends too hard that you forget your real self. Don't run behind pseudo-fame online at this age, instead learn some skills early on.
- Don't run behind love at this age, you will get plenty of time for that. first, find yourself in the crowd before you get busy finding love.
- Never let romantic relationships ruin your friendship, you will regret it forever. Most teenage romantic relationships bound to fail but your teenage friendship are the ones that could last a lifetime.
- Don't watch shit shows like big boss and Splits villa at this innocent age, they are plain crap. Instead, watch some good movies and web series that could motivate and inspire you.
- Curate real connections with people instead of getting indulge in the virtual world of social media.
- You don’t always have to agree with your teacher and elders. It might feel wrong but it's not. I know people tell you that Teachers and your elders always know what is better for us but it's not always the case. They can be often wrong.
- Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. You hear this everywhere still I mentioned as I can’t insist this enough. Whenever you will try to do something different, you will meet many people telling you otherwise.
- Please watch a Netflix documentary, The social dilemma. It's really important for you guys to see as you are the future of our world. You will thank me later (consider me John Conner from the future 😉😉).
Last but not the least, I said earlier that don’t run behind love, still, it's good to have a crush, in your school or neighborhood. It's something you will remember for years to come.
